CREATING MY OWN BUSINESS
Setting up my own business has now raised over £2,500 for charity.
On the back of the Coronavirus pandemic, I set up a charitable initiative by selling handmade beaded bracelets through an Instagram page named Made By Gabs. 100% of the proceeds were donated to Francis House, a local children’s hospice who were in desperate need of donations during a difficult time.
Running and managing everyday processes enabled me to understand various aspects of a business that I had not been exposed to before in previous roles.
I enjoyed liaising with micro-influencers who were only too happy to help with our charitable initiative and realising how important they were to my small business as well as keeping in contact with them on a regular basis. Scheduling posts, organising and sending out bracelets and keeping our Instagram account active on a daily basis with styled posts, were all skills I am ready to transfer into my future job role.
